Strength and Peace from the Lord
— Psalm 29:11 (KJV)
In a world shaken by storms—whether physical, emotional, or spiritual—God’s voice is greater still. Psalm 29 begins with the mighty voice of the Lord thundering over the waters, breaking cedars, and shaking the wilderness. Yet it ends with an assurance so gentle, so intimate: “The Lord will bless his people with peace.”
This peace is not the absence of trouble, but the presence of strength. When we are weak, He gives us power. When the world is chaotic, He grants us calm. His strength is not brute force—it’s the power to endure, to believe, to rejoice. And His peace is not fleeting—it is rooted in His unchanging character.
Supporting Scripture:
“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” — Isaiah 26:3 (KJV)
Application
Take a moment today to pause and remember where your strength and peace come from. Instead of relying on your own ability to control situations, trust in the Lord's promise. Speak this verse over your life. Let it reshape your response to stress, fear, and anxiety. God's peace is not found in comfort zones but in His presence. Ask Him to strengthen your heart and quiet your spirit.
