Tapat ang Diyos sa Kanyang Mga Pangako

“Sa pamamagitan ng kagandahang-loob ng Panginoon tayo ay hindi nalipol, sapagkat ang Kanyang mga kaawaan ay hindi nauubos. Ang mga ito ay bago tuwing umaga; dakila ang Iyong katapatan.”

Sa gitna ng kalungkutan, pagod, o kawalan ng katiyakan, nananatili ang isang hindi matitinag na katotohanan — tapat ang Diyos. Ang tagpo sa Lamentations ay isinulat sa panahon ng matinding kapighatian, subalit dito rin sumilang ang isang paalala: ang Kanyang habag ay laging sariwa. Araw-araw. Hindi ito nauubos. Sa gitna ng kadiliman, sumisikat pa rin ang Kanyang liwanag.

Ang katapatan ng Diyos ay hindi batay sa ating katapatan. Kahit tayo ay madalas lumihis, Siya'y nananatiling matuwid at totoo sa Kanyang mga pangako. Sa bawat umaga, nagbibigay Siya ng bagong biyaya, bagong lakas, at bagong pag-asa para sa Kanyang bayan. Walang pagod ang Kanyang pagkalinga — ito ang ating sandigan.

Paglalapat

Huwag tayong mabuhay batay sa ating damdamin lamang, kundi sa mga tiyak na pangako ng Diyos. Kapag tayo'y pinanghihinaan ng loob, alalahanin na may bagong habag sa bawat paggising. Gumising tayo araw-araw na may pusong mapagpasalamat, at sa gitna ng anumang hamon, manalig tayong muli. Tanungin natin: “Paano ko maipapakita ang pagtitiwala ko sa Diyos ngayong araw?”

Panalangin:
Panginoon, salamat sa Iyong tapat na pag-ibig. Sa bawat umaga, pinapaalalahanan Mo kami na Ikaw ay Diyos na hindi nagbabago. Tulungan Mo kaming magtiwala sa Iyo kahit hindi namin nauunawaan ang lahat. Bigyan Mo kami ng lakas na humawak sa Iyong mga pangako, araw-araw. Sa pangalan ni Jesus, Amen.
