Verse of the Day – Deuteronomy 31:8

Morning landscape symbolizing God's presence and guidance
“And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.”
— Deuteronomy 31:8 (KJV)

Life is full of unknowns—new seasons, difficult transitions, unforeseen challenges. Yet in all these, God reminds His people that they are never alone. As Moses encouraged Joshua, we too are called to trust that the Lord goes before us, paving the way we cannot yet see. His presence is constant, His promises sure. The God who parted seas and led with cloud and fire is still guiding His people today.

Are you stepping into something uncertain? Let this verse quiet your anxiety. God does not call us to go where He hasn't already gone before. His unfailing presence offers courage and assurance. Pause and pray today, entrusting your steps to Him who never forsakes His own.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for going before me. When I feel overwhelmed, remind me that You are already at work in the unknown. Help me trust You with each step I take. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Spurgeon Morning and Evening - August 5

All Things for Good and The Call to Serve | Spurgeon Morning and Evening – August 5 All Things for Good and The Call to Serve Spurgeon Morning and Evening – August 5 Morning Devotion “We know that all things work together for good to them that love God.” — Romans 8:28 Upon some points a believer is absolutely sure. He knows, for instance, that God sits in the stern-sheets of the vessel when it rocks most. He believes that an invisible hand is always on the world’s tiller, and that wherever providence may drift, Jehovah steers it. That re-assuring knowledge prepares him for everything. He looks over the raging waters and sees the spirit of Jesus treading the billows, and he hears a voice saying, “It is I, be not afraid.” He knows too that God is always wise, and, knowing this, he is confident that there can be no accidents, no mistakes; that nothing can occur which ought not to arise. He can say, “If I should lose al...

The Light of the Lamb and the Overflow of Grace | Spurgeon Morning and Evening – August 3

The Light of the Lamb and the Overflow of Grace | Spurgeon Morning and Evening – August 3 The Light of the Lamb and the Overflow of Grace Spurgeon Morning and Evening – August 3 Morning Devotion “The Lamb is the light thereof.” — Revelation 21:23 Quietly contemplate the Lamb as the light of heaven. Light in Scripture is the emblem of joy. The joy of the saints in heaven is comprised in this: Jesus chose us, loved us, bought us, cleansed us, robed us, kept us, glorified us: we are here entirely through the Lord Jesus. Each one of these thoughts shall be to them like a cluster of the grapes of Eshcol. Light is also the cause of beauty. Nought of beauty is left when light is gone. Without light no radiance flashes from the sapphire, no peaceful ray proceedeth from the pearl; and thus all the beauty of the saints above comes from Jesus. As planets, they reflect the light of the Sun of Righteousness; they live as beams p...
